Abstract expressions are like seeds. The abstract is like a mute who has a rich means of expression but no voice. Abstractions are highly emotional representations of reason; like a forgotten word at the tip of one’s tongue. The abstract is endless.
It is difficult for me to describe abstraction, even more so when trying to understand it in my own paintings. I am fascinated with the idea that the viewer must look within the works themselves to understand what an abstract expression means and will ultimately take something from the experience.
